Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

Empower others through knowledge — CIT proves your expertise in designing, delivering, and evaluating impactful safety training programs.

The Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) certification, awarded by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), is designed for individuals responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating occupational safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) training programs.

The CIT certification validates a professional’s ability to apply instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and performance-based training methods to ensure effective knowledge transfer in safety and health environments. It is ideal for safety professionals, trainers, and educators who wish to enhance their credibility and demonstrate competency in safety training and instructional delivery.

Holding a CIT demonstrates a commitment to excellence in safety education, aligning technical safety expertise with strong instructional capability—making it a valuable credential for those involved in workforce development, consulting, and corporate training.
